Words from the Book of Acts 19:1-8.

While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled inland and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
"We've never heard of someone called the Holy Spirit!" they said.
"On what basis were you baptized?" he asked. "We were baptized on the basis of John's teaching," they replied.
Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one who would come after him, that is, Jesus."
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
When Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began to prophesy in languages they did not know.
There were about twelve of them.
Paul entered the synagogue and boldly began to speak. For three months he debated with those there, trying to convince them of the Kingdom of God.
